Intended use:
For in vitro diagnostic use. The PhiCalTM Calprotectin ELISA is an enzymimmunoassay for quantitative determination of calprotectin in stool samples and other body fluids.
General information:

- Suitable marker for chronically IBD like ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease
- Early detection of beginning or acute intestinal inflammation and of relaps
- Differentiation between IBD and IBS (Colon irritabile)
- Stable monitoring marker in therapy of chronically IBD patients
- To some extend detection of non-bleeding polyps and colorectal carcinoma
- Extraction of calprotectin from stool samples by appropriate patented buffer
- Stable in stool samples for about one week at room temperature
