The Adenovirus belongs to the Adenoviridae family, and currently 47 different human pathogenic adenoviruses have been recognized; to an extent these cause differing symptoms. The most common symptoms are mild respiratory infections, conjunctivitis and gastro-enteritis, which are usually quickly resolved by an intact immune system.
